disqualification due to a positive drug test,
Roger Rocu is now the 2011 Duathlon World
Champion. American Matt Russell moves up to
the 5th spot.
Portugal's Sergio Silva is stripped of his
2011 title but did not receive the normal two
year ban because the ITU Anti-Doping Hearing
Panel believed it was an unintentional
violation.
At age 41, and just 9 days after federal
prosecutors closed their two-year
investigation of Lance Armstrong’s U.S.
Postal Service team without charges,
Armstrong finished a close second in this
half ironman. Bevan Docherty won the men's
race and Angela Naeth won the women's race.
Here is a list of the USAT 2012 Championship
events. Short Course Duathlon Nationals take
place in Tucson on April 28. Long Course
Duathlon Nationals are June 3 at the
Blackwater Duathlon in Cambridge, Maryland.
