Below is a list of the fastest pro and age group times at the Dannon Alpharetta Duathlon. The June 10th event marked the fifth time for this race, all of which have been on the same rolling 5k/30k/5k course.
On Sunday both Travis Kuhl and Greg Watson broke the existing course records, and Laura Drake tied Nancy Riedel's course record. Watson has raced all five years, getting faster each year and recording 5 of the 10 fastest times on the course. Retired duathlete Nancy Riedel is the only other pro to show up on the list more than once.
The next Dannon Duathlon takes place in Carlsbad, California. Dannon Carlsbad is the Duathlon National Championships and the race distance is 10k/40k/5k. For more info visit www.dannonduathlon.com.

I have done this race all 5 years. If I remember correctly the first year(1997) the bike course was different. I think you went straight to almost the bridge of GA 400( near the host hotel). You did not have to take the left hand turn off Windward Parkway and go up and down that hill. Because of that I think the course in 1997 is faster than the course being used the last 4 years. One of the reasons why some of the times this year where fast was because of the cool temp. Usually the race day temps are in the 90's.
