Darrin Eisman's three race Mile High Duathlon Series ended on Saturday. Participation was way up in the second year of the series as each race had over had over two hundred participants. Inge McClory dominated the women's competition with three victories in three attempts, earning $400 for the series win. The next three spots in the series were filled out by Rachel Van Pelt, Kerrie Wlad, and Amy Williams.

The men's series was closer. Tony DeBoom made one appearance at the last race, beating series winner Andy Ames by two minutes. Ames second place finish at that race earned him a one point victory (27-26) in the series over Romuald Lepers, who had one victory and three third place finishes. Cortino Garcia and Lance Shimomura took third and fourth in the series.

In Saturday's Cabbage Head Duathlon Ames led DeBoom by 45 seconds after the first run, but DeBoom's bike split was 2:40 faster than Ames, and then DeBoom finished with the fastest second run of the day for the win.
