Clif Bar Inc. Boosts Its Roster of
Triathletes and Duathletes This Season
2001 Marks the Most Extensive Support for
Multisport Athletes in Company History

BERKELEY, Calif., July 11, 2001 - Clif Bar Inc., a leading producer of all-natural energy and nutrition foods, today announced its sponsorship of more than 70 multisport athletes in 2001. Clif Bar Inc.'s increased commitment to triathlon and duathlon competitors includes support of both top pros and age-group competitors.

This season's top Clif Bar Inc.-sponsored pro triathletes include Escape from Alcatraz winners Wes Hobson and Chris McCormack, Europe and Austrian Ironman winner Jürgen Zäck, and Ironman Hawaii contenders Beth Zinkand and Andrea Fisher. Duathletes on the company's roster include current US Pro champion Greg Watson and 2000 National Age Group champ Heather Gollnick.
