Paul Amey outran Courtney Atkinson over the last 1k to win the Noosa Triathlon by nine seconds. Loretta Harrop was an easy winner over second place Pip Taylor. Harrop had the fastest swim, then extended her lead by another 3 minutes on the bike, before taking the win.
Chris McCormack, who has won almost every race he entered this year, pulled out on the run.
