Last year the first ever ironman distance triathlon was held in Boulder. I was there and it was a great race. With the help of many great volunteers the race was well supported and exciting, and the scenery was amazing. If you are considering an ironman distance triathlon consider the 5430 Triathlon. Here is race director Beth Spiegel's announcement regarding this year's registration:

Boulder's inaugural iron distance triathlon was small and intimate, but by the end of its first day it was obvious to those involved that a star was born.  This particular race was long overdue.  Race organizers didn't disappoint - participants came, they saw, and they conquered last summer's highly acclaimed triathlon event.  The 5430 Triathlon was an overnight sensation and many athletes are already training for this year's event.

Registration for individuals and relay teams in the 2nd Annual 5430 Triathlon in Boulder, Colorado, is underway online.  Come experience the picturesque and challenging, high altitude race nestled at the base of the Flatirons.

More information and online registration can be found at www.5430tri.com.
