The 8th Annual Spud Triathlons in Indian Head Maryland have closed out at 800 participants. This popular June race closed out at its' earliest time despite adding another 200 spots in 2002. Live television coverage of portions of the event will be aired in Washington DC and Northern
Virginia. Athletes still wanting to sign up are asked to enter the June 23rd Potomac Triathlon in Dahlgren Virginia along the shores of the Potomac River. For more info go to www.triath.com.

Bummer! A great race. I called and their waiting listing is over 100 right now. Their other tri's are also close to selling out
