Check out the article in the San Diego Tribune "Winning Ironman brought DeBoom fame, not fortune"..........kudos to Tim DeBoom for standing up for his convictions and racing without any logos. What's wrong with this picture when the Ironman World Champion, an AMERICAN, has not been backed by corporate America?! He is not only arguably one of the world's best-conditioned athletes, but a role model to our young athletes who badly need to look up to someone with character, discipline and understated grace.

Tim Deboom showed that he is truly a champion by showing up and racing last weekend. The pressure of being a world champion is probably huge but you would never know it. Tim showed up, raced and after the race I don't think I heard one excuse from the guy about not winning, he was gracious and professional....no bullshit!
