Pacific Crest Half Ironman & Endurance Duathlon Somewhere in Oregon Saturday, June 29, 2002 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run and 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run duathlon Complete Results
Steve Larsen won by seven minutes over Eric Bean at the Pacific Crest Half Ironman. Larsen did the swim in 28:04, losing less than 4 minutes to the closest competitors. He then took the lead on the bike, riding 56 miles in 2:05:53. His 1:17:45 half marathon was third fastest on the day. Christine Heilmann won the women's race in 4:47:03, beating Chris Farias by 3:32.
The Endurance Duathlon attracted 130 competitors. Mark Robins was the fastest man and Sally Leneve was the fastest woman.

Much improved over his last two races, especially on the run. Maybe he can go under 2:50:00 on the marathon in Germany. He will have to if he wants to have a chance at the title.
