Mountain Quest Winter Triathlon

The first in a series of three MountainQuest Winter Triathlons took place under sunny skies at Snow Mountain Ranch, near Winter Park, on Sunday. The race consisted of a 5K run, 10K mountain bike (on snowpacked trail), and an 8K Nordic ski. The top finishers were:

2. Jay Henry, Avon 1:03.29
3. Dan Weiland, Vail 1:05.43

Female
1. Danelle Ballengee, Dillon 1:18.26
2. Karen Hogan, Lousiville 1:36.29
3. Amber Rydholm, Boulder 1:36.44

Kloser and Ballengee are the top male and female adventure racers, respectively, in the U.S. They will seek to maintain their top status in the series at the next race, February 2 at Snow Mountain Ranch. For further information, visit www.mountain-quest.com.
