Riverwatch Triathlon & Duathlon Offers Prize Purse

The 11th Annual Riverwatch Triathlon and Duathlon in North East, Maryland will offer $2000 in prize money in 2003. The money will be divided evenly between the triathlon and the duathlon, with money going five deep in both men's and women's categories.
The Riverwatch races are one of the Mid-Atlantics most popular events over the past decade. The race typically fills up at 750 within a few weeks and has expanded to 1000 for this year's events. Race distances for the triathlon are a 0.75 Mile Swim - 16 Mile Bike - 3 Mile Run and for the duathlon 3 Mile Run - 16 Mile Bike - 3 Mile Run.
The Town of North East at the tip of the Chesapeake Bay welcomes the athletes with dinners, tours, fishing trips, late night shopping and fantastic Chesapeake Bay seafood.
