ITU Winter Triathlon World Cup Wildhaus, Switzerland Saturday, January 23 8km run, 14km mountain bike, 12.5 ski
Lot's of snow, cold temperatures, beautiful sunshine, and well prepared courses on a compactly competition area - that was situation at last years ITU Winter triathlon at Toggenburg. The organisers will do their best to ensure the World Cup 2003 at Wildhaus will again run smoothly. The hilly course will be challenging. With the European Championships following just one week later, the final selections will be done at Wildhaus.
Several top athletes are expected: Marianne Vlasfeld (Netherlands), reigning World Champion, vice European Champion and World cup winner 2002 Sigrid Lang (Germany), reigning European Champion, Vice World champion Jutta Schubert (Germany), 3rd at European Championships
Sabine Fuhrimann (Switzerland), U23 European Champion Friderike Rupp (Germany), European Junior Champion Andrea Hruzová (Slovakia), Vice European Junior Champion Marc Ruhe (Liechtenstein), reigning World Champion, European Champion and World Cup Winner
Christoph Mauch (Switzerland), 2nd at World and European Championships Nicolas Lebrun (France), 3rd at World Championship Benjamin Sonntag (Germany), 4th at World Championships
