Sparky, you rule! You've come a long way since you rode the bike in your sandals.

Sparky indeed rules, but what actually happened was truly awesome. Sparky and the swiss who got gold were in a photo finish sprint! It was so close that Sparky's timing chipped actually crossed the mat first. They had to change his time by 1 second so that he'd appear 2nd on the list; the computer kept insisting he was 1st. The photo and judges gave it to the swiss, and Sparky graciously accepted that. Medals aside, that sprint was one of the coolest things I ever saw. Sparky is the man.

John- You had a pretty good day, too. And Jeff, Rino, Warren, Beth, Sheila. All Top Ten. I think I have to hope for lots of hills in Italy next year for that level of success once again. That and a good surgeon.
