According to our panel Tim DeBoom will win this third Ironman title on Saturday. Duathlon.com gathered top five predictions from eight people, and Tim DeBoom earned four first place votes to three first place votes for Simon Lessing. While DeBoom made every ballot, two people didn't have Lessing, a Hawaii rookie, listed as a top five finisher. Defending champion Peter Reid was a close third in the balloting. Cam Brown, a top three finisher in each of the last three years, was listed as fourth.

Eight people made predictions for Ironman Hawaii. Each person predicted the top five finishers and five points were awarded for a first place vote, four for second, etc., with a fifth place vote earning one point.

Just wanted lock in my vote. If LUC VAN LIERDE starts the race I believe he will contend. I think he has a little something.

I second the vote for Luc. I would love to see him smack one this year. What an amazingly talented guy, and a great sportsman, too.

It sure is easy to pick a fav.....

OK here is my prediction that will come true - mainly due to inside info - Reid and Deboom - not even in the top three!!!! One will not finish.

Women side - there will be a first time winner!!! Weather will be top and muggy with rain in the afternoon - wind will not be that bad this year!
If Luv races, he WILL be top 3

How much money are you putting on that prediction about Reid/DeBoom not finishing in the top 3?
