The Fat Tire Duathlon Series  is the premiere off-road duathlon series for the Midwest.   This series is the multi-sport affiliate of the Midwest Fat Tire State Championship Series  and is backed with over 14 years of racing experience.
 
The 2007 series will feature 3 rounds and visit Clinton Lake State Park, the Lawrence River Trials, and for the first time, Smithville Lake. The opening round will be the Devil’s Revenge Duathlon  on March 10th, 2007.
 
Updated Relay Team info: One of the distinguishing things about our series is the Team Relay classes. This year the relay classes will allow teammates to compete by combining each member’s strengths or splitting the event up between the two using any combination the two team members decide upon. For example, one member can do the first run then one 5 mile lap and then hand off to their teammate who would then do one 5 mile lap and the final 2 mile run.
 
New also this year is a lower “series entry ” price. We have focused our efforts on producing quality events, adding features like chip timing, while keeping the price low. Series entry fee is only $25.00 per event - $75.00 all three ($35.00 per event for relay team). “For a multi-sport event that includes chip timing, event t-shirts, swag and post race food, that is one sweet deal!” - RD
