The New York Private Placement Exchange (NYPPe), along with the Cheyenne Mountain Sprint Triathlon, Monument Sprint Triathlon, Fort Collins Triathlon, Desert Sun Half Ironman and Boulder MS Triathlon, has joined forces in creating Colorado's first and only triathlon racing series.
The series begins June 17 in Colorado Springs with the Cheyenne Mountain Sprint, followed by Monument (July 8); Desert Sun (July 15); Fort Collins (July 22) and Boulder MS (August 12). More than 5000 participants from around the region are expected to compete for individual age-group awards and over $5000 in series prize money.
"NYPPe is proud to be a part of this new series," said NYPPe managing director Michael Van Patten. "It will offer high-level competition for the professional and age-group triathlete. We feel that after its Olympic debut this past summer, the sport of triathlon is primed to grow and we want to be there as it does."
