Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Kitzbuhel
Kitzbuhel, Austria
1.5K swim, 43.8K bike, 10K run
August 14-15, 2010
It was an action packed weekend of draft legal triathlon racing in Austria as Steward Hayes of Great
Britain and Paula Findlay of Canada won the penultimate stop on the ITU's Dextro Energy World
Championships Series. In Saturday's men's race, a group of five athletes created a break on the bike.
Hayes was amongst this group as was the United States' top finisher, Matt Chrabot. All of the five got
pulled in on the run except Hayes who managed to hold off the speediest runners to win. Sunday's
women's race was a more typical affair for ITU racing as a small number of women created a break early
in the run with Findlay able to emerge as the fastest of this group.
