Less then two days after we published an article saying Powerman Gran Canaria has moved to March, race director Jordi Gonzalez has confirmed that the 2001 race will not take place. Gonzalez is moving to Lanzarote to work for Ironman Lanzarote. No further details were available. Powerman Alabama on March 25 will now be the Powerman season opener.

Any ideas as to why established Powerman events are falling off the series? Once the greatest Duathlon series is now looking visably sick.
