USA Duathlon Age Group National Championships

Can someone be so kind as to help out a newbie? I’m confused about USA Duathlon Age Group National Championships. When and where are these held? Are they held in Richmond, VA during the Duathlon National Festival, or is there another race venue. I was under the assumption that they were held in the same location as the Triathlon, this year Tuscaloosa, next Burlington, and that I had to qualify. I guess I was wrong.

Found the answer to my own question. They are beeing held in Tuscon, AZ during the Duathlon Festival. If that is incorrect please let me know.

USA Triathlon's National Duathlon Championships are their own event and are held in different locations and at different times from their triathlon championships. In 2010, the National Duathlon Championships are in Richmond, VA and in 2011 and 2012, they are in Tucson, AZ. Dates for Richmond are April 25, I don't believe the dates have been finalized for 2011 and/or 2012.
As far as qualifying goes, 2010 is open to anyone as long as the race has not filled.

Is there qualifying for the Duathlon Nationals? The USAT website mentions that if an athlete registers w/o qualifying they will be dropped from the start list. I can't find anything definitive on whether this only applys to triathlons or to duathlon as well. Thanks.

Currently there are no qualification standards for the Duathlon Nationals.
