Training Question Reply
by Jonners on June 2, 2008 Mail this to a friend!

I'm starting to train for my first Duathlon (5/40/10) at the beginning of August. I've just come off a training schedule for a Half-marathon (PB of 1:42) and am planning to continue 3 to 4 running workouts a week. My bike training is cycling to and from work each day (18km each way with about 500 ft of climbing in it).

My plan was to slowly add in some longer rides on the weekends (up to 40km) and to also make one of my weekly runs a Brick workout.

Does anyone have any other training advice or suggestions?

Thanks,

Jonathan

I suggest you alternate the brick sequence. Run-bike one time and bike-run the next. That should help you get used to both transitions.
