I will not be able to secure any additional rooms. I can put you in contact with one of the organizers who can help arrange lodging. You would deal directly with them.
USA tri and their preferred travel vendors are funny

If you need help with a hotel, try emailing the local agency listed on the race website (www.duathlon.it) - PA Incentive - and tell them what you want and your budget. We did and they got us a local hotel a few blocks from transition for less than half the price of the "Team USA Package," which frankly sounded a bit steep based on what I've paid to stay in Italy in the past. (I have no interest in or knowledge of the agency, I'm just passing this on in case anyone finds it helpful!)

sooooo true.. those of you that do not get the official "team" hotel should be happy!! now you can go find your own at half the price, and not hang out with only Americans... it is a chance to branch out and see the world, meet other ravelers, and save money. do not fear it, embrace it. if you have been around the block a bit, you get to come to know that team package stuff is pricey, 4 star hotels, you are picking up the tab for the travel agency and just a bunch of BS you do not even need.. unless you are a needy scardie-cat traveller :) you can do a worlds trip cheaper on your own IF you put in the effort.
