hey everyone in the metro Detroit area 3D racing has a a Du on Belle Isle near downtown Detroit it will be a long course 5k/40k/10k(my favorite distance)and a short 5k/20k/5k this will be the first Du in Detroit that i can remember so a good turn out would be great

What is the turnout usually like? It looked like not many age group women in the long event last year. It's only about 3 hrs away from me but I don't want to go if there are only a couple of people :(

it depends on your age group, the 35 to 39 is always kinda big also it depends on the weather and this is a new venue so hopefully it will bring in a lot more people.go and have a good time it is last race of the year

no i did not my band was on the road doing a small tour so i missed it (DAMN!!) they had perfect weather i missed the free press marathon as well but next year for sure thanks for asking, how did you race go?

Thanks for asking! It was great weather here too. I ended up doing a 5km as I wanted to try one last time for a PB for 2008. I found a flat, fast, certified and chip-timed race. I haven't been able to break 23 minutes.... I had done 23:12, 23:08 and 23:03 for the year. I aimed for 22:30, but would have been happy with 22:59! It went really well and I pulled out a 22:06 woo-hoo! That was good for first in my AG and only 5 seconds from 1st Masters. Nice surprise!
