The race website has course maps, but no description of the run or bike course for the World Duathlon Championships in North Carolina in September. Can anyone out there offer any information?

I am not at all being facetious, but how can they not know the distance, when they have posted an actual course map? I just assumed that if they have a route (as per the posted map), they could also post what the profile of this route looks like. Just looking for any information that people who are familiar with the area might have. Thanks :)

A couple of people have run the maps through map my ride, etc, and have come up with something like 9.5 miles for the loop. I'm assuming of course that the rest of the distance is made up inside the venue but it seems like for a world championship they could post a map with mile markers that showed a cut out & route for "X" distance inside the race track, and picking up at "Y" distance outside the track, etc, along with elevations.

In case anyone has been wondering, I have found out some information, albeit not related to the course :)
Though not clear on the race website, all races, elite and age group, will be held on Saturday September 26. The ITU is in the process of approving the actual race start times.

Does anyone know what the profile of the course is like? I can see from the maps that there are lots of turns but is it flat/hilly; smooth or rough?

I did a TT at Lowes Speedway this month. There are tunnels getting into and out of the track/stadium that go fairly deep down, so where you see the course leaving the stadium, note that there are hills there both ways.
I think what they are showing as the inside the track loop on the bike is part of a rolling motorcycle course that we warmed down on, so that part will not be pancake flat.
I am also guessing that part of the inside loop of the run course is on the go-cart course, which did look more flat to false-flat.
On the main track itself, it also is not perfectly flat. Going up one way from the starting line at Pit Rd., is proubably 1-2 shifts different from coming down the back straight-away. And wind there can swirl to make the changes more dramamtic.
Outside the stadium, I did not get a chance to see the rest of the course, but that area in general has only gentle rollers if anything.
