Bring the Duathalon back to Chicago Reply

In 92' Coors Light did a Du in Chicago in two consecutive years. Because I was trying to find a way to quit smoking, though I was athletic (played basketball, tennis, and ran every once in while. I also rode a cheap bike almost everywhere and was really into cycling)I heard about the Coors Light Du. The first year I did it I finished much stronger than I expected. The next year, while attending school full time, I placed in the top ten percent and qualified to go to AZ for the championships. Couldn't do it because of class schedule conflicts. But I was totally torked' by the experience. After that year, I never heard of another Du in Chicago or for that matter, Coors Light Duathon's.

I can swim, but it's not my best feat. Cycling and running hits the spot for me. There were alot of Tri pros participating in those events at the time.

I think it's time to start gaining some support and credibility for the Chicago-land area again.

We did one in Naperville for about 10 years but it's gone now too.
